The updated information from the government.
Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh has asked relevant agencies to prepare for the full reopening of the tourism sector at the earliest possibility, probably on March 30 and no later than April 30.
At a meeting of the Government on February 3 to discuss plans after the Tet holiday, PM Chinh said the international tourism segment should be fully reopened after eligible residents get their third Covid vaccine shots and reasonable regulations on immigration are worked out.He added that the country must continue enhancing the control over the pandemic, assigning the Ministry of Health to boost the spring Covid vaccination campaign. The reopening of socioeconomic activities will be safe when the administering of the third shots is completed.

PM Chinh also ordered the relevant agencies to continue repatriating Vietnamese people overseas on commercial flights.Earlier, he asked the Ministry of Transport to quickly license foreign airlines to transport Vietnamese passengers home.
The ministry has later assigned the Civil Aviation Authority of Vietnam to coordinate with relevant ministries, agencies and localities to do the job. The Government leader said regulations must be applied consistently and strictly nationwide and localities must not issue regulations that go against the common ones.
The country had reached the target of organizing the safe Tet holiday. The country has deployed Resolution 128 on safely and flexibly adapting to and effectively controlling
